Common questions about switching

Answers to the questions we hear most from clubs considering a move to GolfTap.

How long does onboarding take?

Most clubs are live within three to four weeks. The timeline depends on the size of your member database and how much configuration your tee sheet rules require. We will agree a realistic go-live date with you at the start of the process.

Do you migrate data from our existing system?

Yes. We import your member list including names, contact details and membership categories. If you can export a spreadsheet from your current system, we can work with it. Historical financial data is not migrated, but it remains accessible in your old system as a reference.

What does the staff training cover?

Training covers the tee sheet, walk-in bookings, taking payments at the counter, managing members and running reports. Sessions are done live over video call with your actual club data loaded in, so staff practice on the real thing rather than a sandbox. Additional sessions can be arranged if needed.

What happens if something goes wrong after go-live?

The same team that onboarded you handles your support after launch. You can reach us by email and we are available during club operating hours. Critical issues are prioritised and responded to quickly. Most questions in the first few weeks are answered within a few hours.

Do members need to create new accounts?

Members receive an invitation email with a link to set their password. We draft that communication for you and time its delivery to coincide with go-live. Members can book online within minutes of receiving the invite.

Can we keep running our old system during the transition?

Yes. GolfTap is fully configured and tested before the switch date. Your old system stays in place until you are ready. The cut-over is a single day: on go-live morning, the online booking portal points to GolfTap and members start using it from then.
